London day one

Saturday began cold, grey and rainy and we started the day with a tube ride to tower hill where we saw tower bridge open to allow a tall ship through to sail up the thames river.

We explored the tower of london visiting the kings chambers, the fusiliers museum, the armory, the crown jewels, the prison In the tower, the torture chamber and saw lots and lots of cannons, my favourite!

we then took a ferry to embankment

once there we walked to covent garden where we visited the tintin shop (no explanation necessary) and then also visited the oldest map making shop in London to look at the custom made maps and all things travel and adventure.

We took in the sights of covent garden and travelled home by tube.

Dad wandered down brick lane in search of a good curry for dinner and then we all went to bed tired and well fed.

Till next time.
